The installation of Jon Riedeman’s "Owl of Good Fortune" started with the granite base weighing 2,700 lbs!!!

Under that drop cloth is the bronze owl awaiting its perch.

The artist, Jon Riedeman, watches the meticulous art of installing the granite base.

Saturday, September 2, 2023 was a glorious day with a large crowd applauding as Jon Riedeman unveiled his "Owl of Good Fortune."

Perfectly sited on Robertson Plaza, looking out to Haystack, Norfolk’s Owl has a commanding presence.

These adorable and tasty confections were made by NCA’s Marie Lowe and her team of bakers! Over 200 cookies were enjoyed by our audience for the sculpture unveiling. Thank You! ❤️

Over 100 people helped celebrate our rededication of Battell Fountain.

Co-President of the Norfolk Community Association, Barry Webber, was grateful to National Iron Bank for its sponsorship of the rededication event.

Over 100 people attended the Battell Fountain rededication on June 12 where they were entertained by the Salisbury Hot Shot Band.

The beautifully restored fountain took center stage along with fans both human and canine.
