ANNUAL CLEAN-UP DAY
Volunteers of all ages gather each April to celebrate Earth Day by participating in the NCA’s Team Up to Clean Up program. After a long winter, our goal is to collect and dispose of trash from Norfolk’s streets and roads. We’ve collected as many as 100 bags of trash in one day! Who knows what you’ll find!
HONORING NORFOLK’S HEROES
Every Memorial Day on the Village Green, 51 American Flags serve as a tribute to Norfolk’s own who made the ultimate sacrifice.
WELCOME TO NORFOLK
Upon entering Norfolk, each passerby is greeted by signage and gardens hinting at the warm, friendly, and beautiful place that is Norfolk.
SUMMERTIME FLORAL DISPLAYS
Baskets of cheerful flowers adorn Norfolk’s downtown along with special plantings such as Robertson Plaza overlooking Haystack Mountain.
VETERANS DAY TREE LIGHTING
As a tribute to our beloved Norfolk Veterans, each year on November 11th on Memorial Green eight trees are lit and remain illuminated throughout the holiday season.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
As a compliment to Norfolk’s Village Green Holiday tree, the NCA adds an additional 30 smaller trees throughout the village, all sparkling with white lights. Festive garland is added to the lampposts at Robertson Plaza along with wreaths and evergreens.
